Indy Savage is the daughter of a cop, a bookstore owner, and a wild child. I risk dismemberment by her fans and disownment from my friends who love her work every time I try to read another one of her stories. I'm going to have to wait a couple of years before attempting another book by this author. And I can't stand how KA leaves in so many mundane details. I wasn't even interested enough to see how Indy and Lee got on as a couple. How many times can a person get kidnapped? How many times can someone run into danger all for some coffee-weilding acquaintance? How many times can someone try to 'leave the cops out of it' because she wants to handle it on her own? I just can't any more. I haven't met a heroine that personified 'Too Stupid To Live' so perfectly in. Aside from the recycled plot, my biggest issue with this was Indy. I actually think that her books have turned me off from 'alpha males' for a long time. This is my 4th book from her and they ALL feel the SAME! The SAME! Those staccato sentences, the way the heroines are always wrong and figure out that the man was right all along, the helpless females. If you are a hard-core, die-hard Kristen Ashley fan, look the other way! Shield your eyes from this review because, I promise you, it will only make you mad! I honestly don't get the appeal of KA.

I give 1 star for the book plus an additional star for the narration, which was actually pretty good. Perfection! *You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.DNF at 50% (7 hours of listening). But once I just live and let live I can see why Nicole Small’s was just right for Shirleen’s voice. Did it take getting used to a new narrator yes, only because I have Shirleen’s voice in my head from the other Rock Chick book’s. Oh, the tears yep I totally had some and I wasn’t expecting too but damn the whole part with Roma and Sniff gosh I am invested in those boys from the very first time we were introduced to them. I was so intrigued by Moses he was totally made to love and support Shirleen. I knew she had a hard past but reading about it and seeing her put herself last because of it kind of broke my heart. Shirleen was always there for all the other rock chick’s so getting inside her head was a trip to say the very least. So this not only blew me away but then when I started to listen I was sucked in. I would have that Darius or Rome or Sniff. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought about getting Shirleen’s story. Oh, my word! To say I was surprised would be an understatement.
